Located on the Yorkshire Coast, Rosedale Lake is a premier fresh water fishing venue that covers 6 acres and offers depths ranging from 3′ to 20′. The lake boasts a variety of features including three islands, mature overhanging trees on all sides that provide shade and cover for the fish, as well as lily beds, reeds, and bulrushes in the margins. These features make Rosedale Lake a picturesque and ideal location for fishing enthusiasts. The lake is known for its generous stocking of carp, including mirrors, common, and ghosties, with an average weight of around 10lb but reaching up to the early 20s, providing great sport for anglers. In addition to carp, Rosedale Lake offers opportunities to catch large numbers of bream, roach, and perch throughout the lake. Anglers can also expect to find a good head of barbel, chub, tench, rudd, and crucians in the lake. For the more adventurous angler, Rosedale Lake is also home to some elusive eels that can weigh over 9lb, as well as a few large catfish that were introduced in the mid-80s and now weigh in excess of 50lb. Pleasure catches of 100lb are not uncommon during the summer months, making Rosedale Lake a highly sought-after fishing destination for both experienced and novice anglers alike.
