The Sandhurst Lake is the newest addition to the Yateley Complex and has quickly become a favorite among anglers for its excellent day ticket fishing. The lake is relatively shallow, with depths ranging from 2 to 10 feet and an average depth of around 5 feet. Anglers can fish from one island on the lake and can easily locate sand bars and other features from a choice of over 31 swims. The lake is home to around 400 carp, with the majority of them being introduced in a stocking in 1998 at an average weight of 3 pounds. These young fish have since grown to an average of over 20 pounds, with many weighing in at over 25 pounds and dozens of them reaching the 30-pound mark. It is rare to find a day ticket water that offers the chance to catch a 40-pound carp, but the Sandhurst Lake has several fish over 40 pounds, with the current venue record standing at over 43 pounds. Access to the lake is restricted to those who have purchased a ticket or made prior arrangements, ensuring that the site remains secure. The large stock of carp in the lake provides ample opportunity for anglers to land some impressive catches, with the chance to reel in fish weighing over 40 pounds. The Sandhurst Lake is a popular destination for anglers looking for a challenging and rewarding fishing experience.
