The pools at Woodland Lodge Park in Bridgnorth, Shropshire are a hidden gem tucked away to the North East of the town. To access the pools, you need to drive along Church Lane and keep an eye out for an Oak tree on the left with the park's name painted on it. Just past the tree, you will see the main entrance to Woodland Lodge Park, but do not turn in here. Instead, continue a bit further down the lane until you see another track on the left that will take you behind the lodges. It is important to drive slowly and quietly as there are residents living in the lodges. Keep following the track around the back of the lodges until you reach a small pond on your left. Look for a steel gate on your right - if it's unlocked, you can use this access point, but always remember to shut all gates behind you. If the gate is locked, you can use the track in the field on the left side of the gravel track or park by the gate if the field is wet. Once you reach the bottom of the field, you will find Pool 1 where you can park by a small hut. Pool 2 is located in the opposite corner of the field. Both pools are stocked with a variety of coarse fish including Carp up to 20lbs, Perch, Roach, Rudd, Tench, Bream, Eels, and Ide. These pools are 5-6ft deep and each have an island in them. If weather conditions allow, you can drive to Pool 2, but be cautious to avoid damaging the field or getting stuck. These two pools offer a peaceful and picturesque fishing experience for anglers of all levels. Make sure to respect the surroundings and the other residents on the property while enjoying your day of fishing at Woodland Lodge Park.
